Elizabeth L. Carpenter, M.D.. is an accomplished musculoskeletal radiologist with a passion for sports medicine imaging. She graduated with high honors from Wake Forest University, and then earned her medical degree at Stony Brook University School of Medicine.  Dr. Carpenter completed residency in diagnostic radiology at NYU Langone Medical Center, where she served as Chief Resident. Following residency, Dr. Carpenter remained at NYU Langone to complete a fellowship in musculoskeletal radiology.  Already an adept musculoskeletal radiologist, Dr. Carpenter went on to complete a second sports medicine imaging fellowship at The Steadman Philippon Research Institute in Vail, CO.

Following her extensive training, Dr. Carpenter joined Diversified Radiology of Colorado as a musculoskeletal radiologist. During this time, she cultivated a practice based upon image interpretation and ultrasound-guided therapeutic interventions. Dr. Carpenter has contributed extensively to the radiology literature with scientific articles, case reports and presentations at radiology conferences. She is a member of several professional organizations including the Radiological Society of North America, the Society of Skeletal Radiology, and the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.

Dr. Carpenter currently lives in Colorado and enjoys triathlons, cycling, scuba diving, alpine skiing, and travel.
