Does your radiologist bill patients directly for the MRI interpretation professional component? You may not realize it but, with this approach, your practice is leaving money on the table.

At Radsource, we charge a flat fee for all MRI interpretations regardless of study type or whether contrast is utilized, and our clients bill globally for the studies. For commercial payors, the amount you receive for the professional interpretation through global billing is frequently higher than our charge, so your profit margins will increase.

Another benefit to global billing is that your patients will no longer receive two bills. In cases where the radiologists bill separately, patients are often confused or upset as they pay one MRI bill, and then receive another from the radiologists.

Additionally, global billing is simpler for your practice. If the radiologists bill separately, the orthopaedic group must provide insurance information on all patients and handle all of the extra logistics and tracking that goes along with it. This greatly increases the workload on your staff.

Global billing is a better deal for both your practice and your patients.
