Malisa S. Lester, M.D. is a highly experienced neuroradiologist well-recognized by her peers for her expertise in neurological MRI. Prior to joining Radsource, Dr. Lester was a partner at Diagnostic Imaging Alliance of Louisville, a busy private radiology practice where she has worked since 2017. She previously served as an Assistant Professor of Radiology in the Neuroradiology Section of Northwestern University’s Feinberg School of Medicine. She has lectured extensively on neuroradiology topics, including MR/CT technology, brain tumors, CT perfusion and more. Dr. Lester is an accomplished researcher and educator and has authored numerous peer-reviewed articles and presented her work at multiple national scientific meetings. She is a member of the American Society of Neuroradiology and the Radiological Society of North America.
Dr. Lester completed both her undergraduate studies and her medical degree at the University of Texas, where she was a member of the Phi Beta Kappa and Alpha Omega Alpha honor societies. Dr. Lester completed an internship as well as her residency in diagnostic radiology at the University of Texas Health Science Center. After residency, she completed a fellowship in neuroradiology at Northwestern University’s Feinberg School of Medicine and holds a Certificate of Added Qualification in Neuroradiology from the American Board of Radiology.
Dr. Lester enjoys traveling, cooking, and playing the violin and piano in her free time.
