The PACS Your Team Will Actually Want To Use

Hybrid on-site and cloud PACS — built for orthopaedic, radiology, and imaging practices that are done with downtime, clunky viewers, and per-seat pricing that punishes growth.

Sound Familiar?

Your Current PACS Is Costing More Than You Think.

Unpredictable Costs at Renewal

Legacy PACS pricing models tie costs to seats or modules — not your actual usage. Renewals turn into a negotiation you’re not prepared for.

Studies Aren't Accessible When and Where You Need Them

Whether cloud-based or on-site, access can be inconsistent across locations, users, and connection speeds. That creates friction for radiologists and staff.

IT Team Stretched Thin On Maintenance

Between updates, hardware, and support tickets, your IT resources are tied up managing the system instead of moving your practice forward.

Slow, Outdated Image Viewer

A clunky viewer slows reads. Your radiologists notice every lag, every workaround — and your turnaround time suffers because of it.

Migration Feels Too Risky To Even Start

Years of studies, custom workflows, active referral relationships — switching PACS feels like a project no one has the bandwidth to own. So you stay stuck with a system you’ve outgrown.

Downtime That Disrupts Patient Care

Server outages and slow image loading put your radiologists behind — and your patients waiting.

We’ve Built The PACS Answer To Every One Of Those Problems

Everything Included. No Add-On Surprises.

ProtonPACS features high performance image viewing powered by InteleViewer from Intelerad. Radsource enhances and engineers tools from Intelerad for ProtonPACS. We deliver best-in-class image viewing and provide all necessary PACS hardware, training, upgrades and support in a cost efficient, fee-per-study model.

InteleViewer: Best-In-Class Diagnostic Display

High-performance DICOM viewer with advanced 3D volumetric reading, multi-modality comparison, and a customizable interface built for radiologist efficiency.

Per-Study Pricing: Costs that Match your Volume

Pay for what you use. No seat licenses, no module fees. Per-study billing aligns your PACS costs directly with your practice revenue.

Hybrid Architecture: On-Site Speed + Cloud Redundancy

Local server handles day-to-day reads at full speed. Cloud storage syncs continuously in the background — zero data loss, full access from anywhere.

HL7 Integration - Included from Day One

Full HL7 interface integration at no additional cost. ProtonPACS connects with your existing EMR, RIS, and workflow tools without an IT project.

Hardware Supplied, Maintained, and Upgraded by Radsource

We build, deploy, and maintain all server hardware. Your team never has to touch the infrastructure. We handle every update and replacement.

Critical Results Management + Remote Collaboration

Embedded critical results tracking keeps communications documented. Remote collaboration tools let your radiologists consult across sites without leaving the viewer.

How It Works

The Architecture Built For Reliability & Speed – Simultaneously.

Most PACS force a trade-off. Cloud is flexible but slow. On-site is fast but fragile. ProtonPACS eliminates the trade-off.

Have Questions?
We’ve Got Straight Answers.

Do I need to provide any hardware?

No. Radsource supplies, builds, deploys, and maintains all server hardware. We handle every update and upgrade — your team is completely hands-off on the infrastructure.

What is a 'Per-Study-Fee'?

A per-study fee is a billing model where charges are applied based on each individual imaging study processed through the PACS or teleradiology service. In this structure, your practice pays a set fee for each study (such as an MRI, CT, or X-ray) rather than a fixed monthly or annual rate. This approach allows for cost flexibility, especially for practices with variable imaging volumes, as fees align with actual usage.

Is our practice the right size for ProtonPACS?

ProtonPACS is optimized for small to mid-size hospitals, orthopaedic practices, radiology groups, and imaging centers. If your team is reading studies every day, it’s built for you. Very large enterprise health systems may need a different path — we’ll tell you honestly if that’s the case.

How long does implementation take?

ProtonPACS is engineered for fast deployment. HL7 interfaces are included from day one, which eliminates most of the delays practices experience with other PACS transitions.

What happens to our data if we ever leave?

Your data is always yours. We’ll work with you on a structured migration plan. We’ve helped practices transition to and from other systems — the process is well-documented and we’ve seen all the edge cases.

Do you offer teleradiology services as well?

Yes. Radsource also provides MSK and neurological MRI interpretation services. A number of our PACS clients pair ProtonPACS with our teleradiology team for a fully integrated imaging solution.
