Hetal Patel, M.D., is an accomplished radiologist specializing in musculoskeletal imaging. He has had extensive leadership experience in both academic and private practice settings. Prior to joining Radsource, he served as President of Greensboro Radiology, where he oversaw more than 100 providers serving six health systems. He also held the role of Musculoskeletal National Subspecialty Lead for Radiology Partners, where he led new quality initiatives and evaluated artificial intelligence and information technology opportunities within the practice. Dr. Patel also served as Chief of Staff and Chair of Radiology at Alamance Regional Medical Center | Cone Health in Burlington, North Carolina. In this role, he was instrumental in strategic growth initiatives, including the development of a comprehensive breast center and the expansion of cardiac, vascular, and interventional radiology services.
Dr. Patel earned his medical degree from Eastern Virginia Medical School, followed by a diagnostic radiology residency at Baystate Medical Center, affiliated with Tufts University School of Medicine. He completed a fellowship in musculoskeletal radiology at Duke University Medical Center. Throughout his career, Dr. Patel has actively contributed to radiology research and presented at major conferences, including the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) annual meetings.
When not practicing radiology, Dr. Patel enjoys all things related to sports, spending time with his family and the outdoors.
