Dr. Alexander Chien is an experienced musculoskeletal radiologist with a distinguished career in academic medicine and clinical practice. Prior to joining Radsource, he served on the faculty of Loma Linda University for nearly two decades, where he was Chief of the Musculoskeletal Radiology Division and an Assistant Professor of Radiology. In addition to his academic leadership, Dr. Chien has practiced in both hospital and outpatient settings, including Pomona Valley Hospital Medical Center and, more recently, as a staff radiologist for Redlands Community Hospital and Renew Medical Group.

Dr. Chien completed a musculoskeletal imaging fellowship at the University of Michigan Medical Center, where he also trained as a diagnostic radiology resident and later served as a lecturer. He earned his medical degree from the University of Michigan Medical School after completing undergraduate studies in biophysics with high distinction.

Throughout his career, Dr. Chien has contributed extensively to education and research in musculoskeletal imaging. He has authored publications in leading journals such as Radiographics and the American Journal of Roentgenology, and has presented his work at national and international meetings, including the Radiological Society of North America and the European Congress of Radiology.

Dr. Chien has received numerous teaching and service awards, including multiple resident teaching honors at Loma Linda University and the Healing Hands Award from Loma Linda University Medical Center. He is an active member of the Society of Skeletal Radiology, the Radiological Society of North America, the American College of Radiology, and the American Roentgen Ray Society.

Dr. Chien resides in Southern California with his wife and daughter. In his free time, he enjoys gardening and working on automotive projects.
