Passionate about healthcare and technology, Des Varady has more than 35 years of leadership experience in strategy, operations, compliance, and quality. Working across the healthcare spectrum, he has led successful initiatives at some of the nation’s largest provider and payer organizations, including Ascension Health, CenterWell / Kindred at Home, UnitedHealth, LHC Group, and multiple state Medicaid programs.
Before joining Radsource, Des was Chief Executive Officer at Corridor, the nation’s leading provider of post-acute healthcare revenue cycle management, delivering services to more than 2,600 client sites and 52,000 clinicians working in home health, hospice, and skilled nursing. Under Des’ leadership, Corridor transitioned from a well-respected consulting and education firm into a disruptive market leader, helping its clients ensure accurate reimbursement and operate more effectively in a complex regulatory environment. To drive this transformation, Des assembled a best-in-class leadership team, drove growth from 30 to 1,400+ clinical and administrative team members, completed five strategic acquisitions, and led the development of AI-enabled computer assisted coding and revenue cycle acceleration technology platforms. In 2023, Des led the sale of the business to WellSky, achieving a 9.0x return on investment for Corridor’s investors.
Prior to Corridor, Des was Chief Executive Officer at HWT, a healthcare data services firm, where he led the turnaround, growth, and eventual sale of the business to UnitedHealth (NYSE: UNH), achieving a 7.0x return on investment for HWT’s investors. At Sapient, Des led organic growth and M&A in global leadership roles and was part of the leadership team that took the company public (NASDAQ: SAPE).
Des is a U.S. Army veteran and a Cum Laude honors graduate of the University of Pennsylvania.
