Ashwin Prabhu, M.D.

Ashwin Prabhu, M.D. graduated with high honors from the University of California Davis, and then earned his medical degree at Tufts University School of Medicine. After completing a transitional year internship through Harvard Medical School, Dr. Prabhu completed his residency in Diagnostic Radiology at the University of Southern California (USC). After his residency, he completed a fellowship in Neuroradiology at USC and a second fellowship in Musculoskeletal Radiology with Dr. John Crues of Radnet Imaging.

Following his extensive training, Dr. Prabhu was invited to remain at Radnet for eight years as a staff radiologist, where he built an outstanding reputation and following among orthopaedic and neurologic referring physicians. He also served on the faculty of the Radnet Musculoskeletal Radiology Fellowship Program.   Dr. Prabhu has received numerous academic honors, including a Division of Biological Sciences award for outstanding academic and research achievements. He is a member of Phi Beta Kappa, the Phi Sigma Biologic Sciences Honor Society and the Golden Key Honor Society. He has contributed to the radiology literature with textbook revisions, scientific articles and presentations at radiology conferences.

Dr. Prabhu has performed medical volunteer work with underserved communities and was employed as a social worker prior to medical school. He currently lives in Los Angeles, California and when not practicing radiology, enjoys weight training, sports, art and travel.
