Gabrielle Bergman, M.D. is a graduate of the University of Lund Medical School in Lund, Sweden. Following medical school she completed a one year internship in orthopaedic surgery at Lund University Hospital and a twenty one month rotating internship before coming to the United States to continue her medical training. After a surgery internship at New York University Medical Center, Dr. Bergman entered her residency in diagnostic radiology at NYU. She is extensively trained in musculoskeletal radiology, having completed both a one year fellowship in bone radiology at the New York University Medical Center and a one year fellowship in musculoskeletal radiology at the University of California San Diego, under the direction of Dr. Donald Resnick.
Dr. Bergman’s impressive academic achievements include 14 grants, close to 100 peer-reviewed articles, 16 book chapters, 85 peer-reviewed scientific presentations, and 7 scientific exhibits. Recognized and respected for her clinical expertise and her many contributions to the field of musculoskeletal radiology, Dr. Bergman has been an invited lecturer at many national radiology meetings. She has served as manuscript reviewer for multiple radiologic and orthopaedic journals. Her previous academic appointments include Lecturer in Bone Radiology at the University of California at San Diego, Assistant Professor in the Department of Radiology, University Hospital at Lund, Sweden, and Chief of Musculoskeletal Radiology at Stanford University Hospital. For the last 14 years, Dr Bergman has turned her interests to private practice, focusing on musculoskeletal MRI.
Dr. Bergman resides near Sacramento, California with her husband and two children. She is an expert equestrian, and enjoys Norse and Northern European history and genealogy.
